California Proposition 65 Notice
Last updated: October 19, 2026
California residents: some dental products can expose you to chemicals covered by California's Proposition 65.
What Proposition 65 is
California's Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 — Proposition 65 — requires businesses to warn Californians before knowingly exposing them to chemicals the State has listed as causing cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. The State maintains a list of hundreds of such chemicals and updates it periodically.
How it applies to what we sell
We are a reseller. The products we ship are manufactured, labeled, and packaged by their manufacturers, and any Proposition 65 warning that applies to a product is determined and applied by that manufacturer. Where a product or its packaging carries a Proposition 65 warning, that warning travels with the product to you.
Some dental materials and equipment — for example certain restorative materials, metals and alloys, and some chemical products — may carry a warning. Many carry none.
Before you buy or use a product
- Read the manufacturer's label and packaging, which carry any applicable warning.
- Review the manufacturer's Safety Data Sheet — see SDS sheets.
- If you need to know whether a specific item carries a Proposition 65 warning before you order it, email us at support@sharkdentalsupply.com and we will check with the manufacturer.
